I actually made this a few months ago. I used my Silhouette to make a stencil and used fabric paint. It was kinda tricky but I love how it looks. I just need some bling! :)

First Card Attempt
I've had the Silhouette SD since July of last year. For Christmas my hubby got me the new Cameo. I've been using the machines for very specific needs, card making NOT being one of them. But when a family friend suffered 2 ischemic strokes from a blocked carotid artery, I thought it would be a perfect time to try making a card (or 2). He is improving daily and I pray that he will be back to his old self very soon!
I apologize for the poor quality. I used my cell phone in dim lighting!

I've seen these projects all over Pinterest and have been dying to try it.
All you need are a few simple items:
Mod Podge
Foam Brush
8x10 Photo
8x10 Canvas
Stain or Paint (optional)

I spread a layer of Mod Podge on the canvas and then placed the picture and smoothed it out.
I could have just left it like that and it would have been perfect but I wanted to try something. Since the photo I chose is sepia, I took stain and brushed the edges then wiped it off.

I have done quite a few 2x4 crafts now. I'm in love with them. Here are a few more for Christmas.
My snowman. Face is vinyl.

My tree. I used vinyl for the words and my hubby cut the star out of thin mdf. Came out great.

Wipes Cases + Vinyl = Awesomeness :)
This is how I spent my Thanksgiving Eve (I also cleaned and did tons of laundry!). They came out really cute. I'm thinking these would make cute baby shower gifts!

Christmas Crafts
I know, I know, Thanksgiving hasn't even passed and here I am posting Christmas crafts. But I LOVE Christmas...and this weather just adds to the excitement! And, in all fairness, the first isn't just for Christmas, it's for Winter, too! (yeah, Winter hasn't even begun yet either) :)
